If you have seen my Mallorca vlogs, you can probably tell we had an absolute wonderful holiday in Mallorca. I enjoyed every second of it, and not in the least the most amazing vegan food. So I thought by myself, why not share my favorite food hotspots with you to make your choice of restaurant easier when in Mallorca? Here are my three favorite food hotspots for dinner.
1. Santosha Eco-Cafe
My favorite experience by far in Mallorca was Santosha. And it is not even an all vegan restaurant! What I loved most about Santosha is their extremely warm and friendly service. It is a family-run business that only opened at the beginning of this year. The whole evening ran super smooth so clearly they are naturals and excellent in making its customers feel completely relaxed.
What makes Santosha so special apart from the great service is how much they care about organic and fairly traded ingredients, which is as you know exactly what I look for in food. They use local organic ingredients when possible and grow a lot themselves too. You cannot wish for much more in a restaurant, can you? And the taste, wow, let me tell you… Everything I ate was like the most delicious satisfying explosion in my mouth.
Now you are probably curious what I ate, right? I ordered the super yummy and very filling Hummus & grilled vegetable platter with olives, homemade pickles & pita bread as a starter which they easily made glutenfree for me with super tasty glutenfree bread. I was so pleased about that! And after that I had a chickpea plate with ratatouille and green pesto. This main course was not vegan on the menu but, as with the starter, it was no problem whatsoever to adapt it for me. I told you the service was great, didn’t I?
If you are ever in Palma, definitely pay this restaurant a visit. We had such a lovely evening: the service, the food, the music (beautiful, relaxing jazz), the peaceful and calm environment. Santosha definitely made our last night in Mallorca a wonderful experience.
Address: Carrer del Metge Matas 2, Palma de Mallorca
My second favorite in Mallorca is the vegetarian and vegan restaurant, Bellaverde. What I loved most about this place is their beautiful terrace. What more could you wish for than a peaceful evening enjoying amazing vegan food surrounded by fig trees and candlelight everywhere.
And it is not only the location that makes this restaurant so special. Just as Santosha, Bellaverde has amazing staff. The woman running the restaurant is super friendly. She makes sure every guest is happy and enjoying the experience.
Speaking of experience, the food was amazing! I ordered the Vegetable curry with basmati rice and tofu. Apart from being a bit too spicy for me, it tasted absolutely delicious. And what I loved about their menu as well is that they try to work with ecologically grown vegetables as much as possible.
So if you are exploring the North of Mallorca, definitely go for dinner at Bellaverde. And make sure you have an empty stomach because we were so stuffed with our main course that we couldn’t try one of their fabulous looking desserts anymore ;-).
Address: Carrer de les Monges 14, Puerto de Pollensa
3. Bon Lloc
Being vegan, obviously a 100% vegan restaurant could not be missing in my top three. Bon Lloc is definitely the place to be if you are in for some vegan culinary surprises! They both have healthy dishes as well as more luxurious “junk food” like burgers and patatas bravas.
Most options on the menu could be made glutenfree, so that was a big plus for me. Jonas and I ordered five plates to share and waw, what a treat it was! We had the burger, a beetroot plate, a salad, the beetroot hummus, and the patatas bravas. We did not regret it! 😀
You might be wondering why Bon Lloc is only number three in my top than? Well one thing that we did not enjoy that much was how busy it got further in the evening. It was a bit loud for us, but apart from that, no complaints whatsoever 🙂
If you are ever in Palma and you got some company that might not be vegan but that does enjoy burgers or rather a culinary beetroot hummus plate, definitely pay Bon Lloc a visit!
Address: Carrer de Sant Feliu 7, Palma de Mallorca
That was my top three of vegan dinners in Mallorca. Tell me in the comments if you are thinking about going to one of these or if you have already tried one of them. I would love to know! ^^
